I love this wine chiller because it uses chill cells to get wine cold FAST. You keep the three chill cells in the freezer, then put them into the chiller with a bottle of wine and water, and the chiller circulates the water over the cells and wine, getting it cold in just minutes. The other wine chillers out there either require ice (several trays each time, which is a pain), or use electronic chilling that takes an hour or more. If I was going to wait an hour, I’d just stick a bottle of wine in the fridge. I have one of these and also got one for my dad, who loves wine, as a gift. He was very impressed!

Use of the cooler/chiller inserts is a little easier than ice and water – but you still have to use water to get the wine chilled quickly. This does get wine cold pretty fast – and no worries of leaving it in the freezer too long for the wine to freeze or bottle to explode…. I chose this brand b/c of the ability to hold the larger diameter bottles – and so far, so good!
