This has to be the quietest compressor type refrigerator I’ve ever heard (or NOT heard). When I first plugged it in, I thought it was a bad unit. I could not hear it running. But I put a thermometer in it and left it plugged in for a while and when I checked it later it was down below 50! It keeps a steady 40 degrees, and holds a lot. I replaced a smaller non compressor unit that would not cool down to 50 degrees. Great unit and looks good. Cold sodas and wine!

Had the 118 can refrig for 1 month. Couldn’t handle the whistle from the compressor. Had to pay to send it back. They said they didn’t hear a thing. It was returned damaged. Cost me $110 extra for all this and now I have to get rid of it. I have to turn it off in order to speak with my guests. I turn it off when I’m in the room. When I talked with the service people on the phone, they said if they exchanged it I would probably still have the same problem… Don’t buy any edgestars
