a great alternative to sticking a wine bottle in the freezer and then forgetting about it!

We like the wine chiller as we no longer need to mess with bags of ice to have our white wines chilled throughout an entire evening. You can hear the fan as the chiller is working, but is quiet enough that a little soft music in the background or conversation covers any occasional “whir”.

Received this as a gift, and it was never able to chill a bottle of wine to a proper temperature. It might be useful as a night-light, but it definitely falls short of what it advertises.

The electronic wine library gets each varietal to its perfect serving temperature with ease. If you have 15-20 minutes before you want to drink then this unit works great.

Other than that, what’s there to complain about?

The new version of the product has a plastic sleeve that gives a more accurate temperature reading but why care when it takes all day to chill the bottle of white? It is unbelievably noisy when operating and couldn’t possibly be used any place you want to have a conversation. If you put your white wine in the refrigerator to bring it close to serving temp and then put it in the chiller it might work to your advantage (the unit won’t be on very long) but this thing is not worth whatever you’re going to pay for it. BTW, there’s now a 2-bottle version. It doesn’t work any better.
